In many cases, these days’ technology is taking many jobs away. Have you seen the new kiosks that are popping up in many McDonalds? In manufacturing, robots continue to replace human hands (I have worked in the automotive industry for the last 20 years so I have seen this first-hand).
Unless you’re studying something that directly deals with technology you are going to be hard-pressed to find a good career. This simply isn’t the case with bookkeeping. In fact, it can be argued that technology makes it much easier to become a successful bookkeeper!

I get it, going back to school to earn a degree is a hard thing to do. Student loans, scheduling classes around your family time, commuting back and forth all while still working your full-time job. That doesn’t sound like much fun does it.
